Equalizer 4 Piece Axial
The L&G Equalizer 4 Piece Axial takes the Equalizer system and arranges it in a cross or radial configuration instead of running straight across like the linear version. You still get four glass globes suspended from anodized aluminum tubing, but the axial setup works better for centering over square tables, in corners, or anywhere you want light distributed in multiple directions from a central point rather than along one axis. The fixture mounts to two 12-inch round canopies on your ceiling, with the tubes radiating outward to create this architectural statement that's more sculptural than a standard linear pendant. The connecting tubes use frosted scalloped glass - always, not optional - which adds this diffused glow along the structure itself beyond just the end globes.
Each globe delivers 550 lumens at 2700K, and with four of them arranged in different directions, you get well-distributed ambient lighting that reaches the whole space evenly. Same finish lineup as the rest of the Equalizer family: anodized aluminum in Olive, Bronze, Black, or Gold, paired with translucent glass globes in Smokey Green, Cream, Grey, Bronze, or Chameleon. The GY 6.35 bi-pin LED bulbs (5 watts, 24 volts, rated for 30,000 hours) come standard, and the linear tubes have integrated 12-volt LEDs. Dimming's built in, so you can dial brightness from full task lighting down to subtle ambient glow. UL certification available on request, compatible with most international electrical systems, and the whole thing's custom-built to your specifications with that 10-12 week lead time.
Ladies & Gentlemen Studio designed the Equalizer collection in 2016 with John Hogan, and the axial configuration shows their interest in creating lighting that doubles as spatial sculpture. Dylan Davis and Jean Lee's Brooklyn studio approaches fixtures as jewelry for architectural spaces - geometric forms softened by warm materials and light diffusion. The axial arrangement works particularly well in open-plan spaces where you want a central focal point that distributes light in multiple directions, or over square dining tables where linear fixtures always feel slightly off. Everything's customizable for materials, finishes, and sizing, so you're working with the studio to build something tailored to your specific space rather than adapting standard products to fit.
