Equalizer 4 Piece Linear
The L&G Equalizer 4 Piece Linear takes the original Equalizer concept and stretches it into a horizontal configuration that works over dining tables, kitchen islands, or long countertops. Instead of individual pendants, you get four glass globes suspended along anodized aluminum tubing that runs horizontally across your space. The setup mounts to two 12-inch round canopies on your ceiling, creating this clean linear installation that doesn't need a massive single junction box in the center. The linear tube connecting everything is frosted scalloped glass - always, not optional - which diffuses light along the whole length instead of just from the end globes. The whole thing gets sized to your specifications during ordering, so you're getting something that fits your actual table or counter length rather than making do with whatever standard size exists.
The four globes each pump out 550 lumens at 2700K, giving you enough combined light for task work without feeling like you're under interrogation lamps. Same anodized aluminum finish options as the rest of the Equalizer line: Olive, Bronze, Black, or Gold for the hardware and canopy, with translucent glass globe choices in Smokey Green, Cream, Grey, Bronze, or Chameleon. The GY 6.35 bi-pin bulbs (5 watts, 24 volts, rated for 30,000 hours) come included, and dimming's standard so you can adjust brightness from full output when you're cooking to softer ambient light during meals. UL certification available on request, works with most international electrical systems, and the whole fixture's built to order with that 10-12 week lead time that comes with custom manufacturing.
Ladies & Gentlemen Studio designed the Equalizer series back in 2016 with their collaborator John Hogan, and the 4-piece linear version extends that "playful austerity" approach to longer installations. Dylan Davis and Jean Lee's Brooklyn-based studio specializes in lighting that balances geometric precision with warmth - the rigid aluminum tubing paired with soft glass diffusion, industrial materials handled with craft-level attention. The linear configuration works particularly well over kitchen islands or dining tables where you need distributed light across length rather than concentrated downward from one point. Everything's customizable for materials, finishes, and sizing, so you're getting a fixture built specifically for your space rather than adapting your room to fit standard product dimensions.
